Happy new year! 2020 ended already, and it was such a wild ride.
I'll reflect on the months of 2020:
1. January
January 2020.. I just broke up with my ex, Todo, and it was hell-ish. It was hell not because I still loved him, but because I need to find myself a new place. I moved out of my old kostan and I moved to the kostan in Jalan Pecandran No. 32. Same area, as always.. I'm always in Senopati for some reason. I spent the month traveling around the city with my friends to Glodok and befriend a new person, and getting in touch with them again. Had some drinks, some fun at work with the English class.. it was a fun month.
2. February
In February 2020 I went to this girl's birthday party in a club in Senopati and met the "fancy" cliques and I realized.. all that glitz and glam is not for me. Met new friends and had some fun. Went to a new coffee shop and enjoyed the art installation there as well. Then it was Java Jazz, had a lot of fun with Runi and Karina. Met RINI, PREP, and many others. Was a fun month. Got my bonus as well, spent some and saved the rest of it on my deposit account.
3. March
My birthday month and the month where the government announced that the first 2 cases of COVID-19 in Depok. Fucking Depok man. Everything went astray, WFH policy was implemented. Stuck in my kostan and battling depression.. until I eventually went home and do my work from Bandung. Found new sense of freedom, although I was working on an acquisition project that took a lot of my time. Was very, very exhausted. Spent my birthday with my family and it was bliss and so much fun. March was a good month.
4. April
Still home. Traveled to my old house in Panghegar and got reminded of the good old time and my fun childhood. I really miss that life when the only thing I need to worry about was what game I'm gonna play with my peers. Met Arum and Putu.. and they became my best friends. I signed up for Discord and talked to them every night. We played a lot of games together, quarantine was less lonely because of that. Played a lot of Call of Duty as well.
5. May
May was Karina's birth month and I got her a cake. This month went by kind of uneventfully I guess? Judging from the lack of pictures. The theme for May was friendship. Used video call to check up on my friends. Kasih Hukum was born.
6. June
Still WFH. I'm in Bandung and spent most of my time with my family and just.. working. Moved back to my old kostan in Jalan Pecandran 10. On the 20-ish I went back to Jakarta and met Arum for the first time in Kopi Kalyan. She's such a sweetheart. I am really grateful that I get to know her and befriend her. Had fun in Plaza Senayan with Laras, and her boyfriend taught me some Japanese words. Went to Jakarta Utara with Karina and Nong as well, had my first taste of Wing Heng dim sum. It was pure bliss. So good, ate the dim sum with a beer nearby the sea. I also made a Tik Tok with Nong. Went on several dates with Luigi.
7. July
On 11 July 2020, Luigi asked me to be his GF. I accepted. Met his parents right away in AEON Mall.. they were sweethearts. Then had some fun in Artotel with Nong, Karina and Luigi.. drank a lot. Went to Wing Heng again but with Luigi this time. Luigi took me around PIK area.. it was actually my first time visiting PIK, I had tons of fun. Business talk with Arum.. but never got to realize it (until now)
8. August
Met with my highschool friends. The boys this time and it was nothing but pure bliss and fun. I really, really enjoyed my time with them. Tried the legendary bacang in Braga, Bandung. Went to Garut with my parents and they bought lots of leather stuff. Went to the zoo, met many cute friendly animals. I begin to stay in with Luigi. Went to Puncak for the first time with Luigi.. went to Kebun Raya and had a picnic, experienced the legendary traffic of Puncak and we were stuck in traffic for some UNGODLY hours. Never again, it was quite fun though. Befriended Luigi's dogs, they're practically mine now.
9. September
Went to the famous juice place in Bandung and got hooked. WFO again after the longest time, in shifts now. Had the Ritz Carlton staycation in Mega Kuningan and it was so fun. Bubble bath is so freaking nice, and met Nia Ramadhani in the pool.
10. October
Signing month. All of my hard work was finally paid-off. Work was slowing down after this project. Went to Bandung with Theo, Arum, Putu and Fadil. It was so fun. Did my 5km run for the first time.. Went to the bowling place in BSD for the first time with Luigi and Pepe. Bowling was actually quite fun and I've been trying to hone my skill ever since. Went biking with my dad near the house, was fun as well. Went to Jawa Timur with Luigi's family for a wedding. The best trip in 2020, hands down.
11. November
Getting myself familiarized with Luigi's big family. They're all cute and friendly, so I like them. Bought matching watches with Luigi. Celebrated my mum's birthday in Dago, was a fun night as well. I liked my outfit that night. Met with Luigi's friends and got kind of close to them as well. Went hiking with the office, the highlight of November. Got closer to Yola and Jo from the office. Made the video for the year-end gathering of my office. Went to the aquarium in NEO SOHO. Went to the web restaurant and visited Arifin's new resto as well. Met my friends in Bandung, met Acil and Bebi again after a long time. What a fun month.
12. December
I Celebrated Luigi's birthday, bought him glasses and ice cream cake from Haagen Dazs, it was so good. Baked cookies. Got addicted to Anime and becoming a self-proclaimed weeb. Had drinks with Karina and complained about being stuck as a sandwich generation. Went to IKEA with Luigi. Had Christmas lunch with the lawyer girls, got me a scented candle. Went to BSD to bowl with Theo, Laras, Putu, and Luigi. Went to Queen's Tandor with Luigi for early Christmas dinner. Went home for Christmas, family feud, made up. Bought my family a microwave. Cooked a horrible, horrible steak and topped it off with some horrible wine.
Now that I think about it, 2020 is not a bad year.. like at all. I was actually.. living. I am very grateful for the new people that 2020 brings to me. God is good. I hope 2021 can be a good year as well.
